THE 20TH ANNUAL Wish for Wendy Softball Challenge is already receiving team entry fees.
The coed double elimination slow pitch softball tournament will take place Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Alpharetta North Park. This will be our 20th year so it will be very special!!! The fee will not increase from last year and will remain at $500 plus we ask each team to fundraise as much as possible outside of the team fee to help us raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Remember that each team will be paired with a young CF ambassador who will be updated on the team standings so your responsibility goes far beyond just hitting and fielding. We are in it to provide hope for young people with this disease. Thank you so much for taking part.
We have a lot of special things going on at this year’s event which we will tell you about as the event gets closer.
First come, first serve. Spots fill up quickly. The best way to guarantee a spot quickly is by sending a check to Shea Pitre at the CFF:

For those of you new to our event, Wish for Wendy is a 16-team co-ed charity softball tournament that raises funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in memory of Wendy Lipman who lost her life after only 16 days. Wendy was my sister and I too have cystic fibrosis and fight the disease and its symptoms every day. In 19 plus years, we have raised just over $4 million to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. And the donations are doing something. Over the last few years, several breakthrough drugs have helped people with CF to improve their lung function. This year, we are hoping for FDA approval of a Triple Combination Therapy that should assist 90% of the CF population including yours truly.
Our goal in 2019 is to raise $500,000 to celebrate our 20th year. With your help, we think we can get there. If you have any questions, contact me or Shea Pitre at the CF Foundation who I have copied on this e-mail.
Thank you for your help!
